Re: Has anybody got some picture of a caddy on 20" alloys
Very interesting!!!
1. Will 235/30-20 tyres work as well without rubbing both front and rear?
2. Or are you limited to be running with 225/30-20?
I have the Eibach lowered springs in the front and not lowered in the rear...
Thanks.

I would have thought that 20 inch wheel on 20 profile would have two major drawbacks expensive tyres and must make the ride very bumpy as the suspension won't be able to cope properly.
When you think that on an f1 car something like 80% of the suspension is the tyre it's got to make the ride quite harsh.
I'm going 18s with 235 40 18. On my caddy

I think I will try with the VW Monterey 20" rim fitted with 235/30-20 Conti6 tyres. The wheels will then be 1.85% larger than my 225/40-18 I am running now. Do you think the 20's will rub in the arches of the Caddy? It is lowered with Eibach in the front and not lowered in the rear.KenTDI140 wrote:I would have thought that 20 inch wheel on 20 profile would have two major drawbacks expensive tyres and must make the ride very bumpy as the suspension won't be able to cope properly.

Ok, but your 235/40-18 is a bit larger than the "standard" 225/40-18. Let med know when you have tried them. How much is your Caddy lowered?

I'm sure the wheels and tyres I have will fit with no problems as its been done before I'm lowered 40 MM on the front and about 70 on the back so the sills sit level with the road.

Wow. 20" wheels. Yeh I would not want to buy tyres......I imagine on coil overs a soft seat is essential too!!!
