Remap

Post by pgchips »

Hi all I'm thinking of remapping my 16 tdi 102bhp anyone had any problems after having there's done like the injectors going, would like a bit more power but not if it's going to damage the engine.

A good remap won't do your injectors any harm, they are more than capable of wrecking themselves on a factory map as so many people have experienced.

Is your van not being recalled around October, Im holding out until mine has been done at VW as I have heard they will map it back to standard.

Please don't quote me on that as it's just what I have heard.

Really dying to get mine done though.

Cheers

Yes I have same problem with my Audi A3 waiting to get software update before I get it mapped. Not sure about my caddy as I have just purchased it and haven't even got the logbook yet.

I have heard the same rumours but I've only had mine a few weeks so don't really know when it's going to happen.

I imagine it's going to cost vw a lot of money that's probably why there not in any hurry.

I don't know if I would remap your caddy I would be quite happy with a 150bhp but you probably get better fuel economy.
