The red plug is for powering the seat (reclining, lumbar, etc) pretty self explanatary think there are four wires you just need the two thicker ones as I remember. if your going to wire up I will check properley

The yellow plug is for the seat’s airbag you dont need.

with touran bases you will need to remove two locating lugs with hacksaw?dremmel from bottom of runners (3 min job. If you offer seats up to bases it really will speak for itself 8)
Why can I forget the green plug - is there no chance of getting the heated seats working??

could do but from what I could gather it was lots of work... but never say never with a little understanding and patience it could be done think there is a company called kwofatec or something that might be able to help thith a kit for retrofitting.
its the audi seats that have extra locating pin I think might be different on TT as I used A4 seats. trial fit the two together and it will be obvious

There are definitely large locating pins on the seats as I have them here beside me, in fact one of them has already been chopped off presumably by the guy before me (but not the other lol??)

Thanks for the info, I will try my hand at wiring up the electric lumbar myself and do some investigating on the heated multi plug.

Last question though - the seats were not advertised as heated, but if they have the green plug, does that mean they will definitely be heated seats? The guy selling them was a bit of a wheeler dealer and had taken them in part-ex against another set of seats...

From a wiring point of view, do newer seats (from a mk2
TT or mk 6 golf gti for instance) fit straight into a mk4 caddy with airbags and occupancy sensors etc? Or is there a simple way around this?!

You have to change the connectors obviously, also some occupancy sensors are pressure sensitive resistor rather than normally open switch. But it's all doable, no problem.
