Is that golf bumper hard to fit or is it a straight fit ?

Not sure if this post is still being watched, but was it difficult to fit the Golf bumper? My van is the same colour and would love to do the same, it looks mint!

Van looks amazing!
Was wondering... is the bumper a straight swap or is there some butchering involved?

There is a considerable amount of work involved getting the these bumpers to fit, they need cut up and plastic welded onto the stock Caddy upper section. Many hours work of work to get them right.

Golf GTi mk 7 front bumper conversion

Post by hef355 »

Thanks guys for the great comments on the van, all appreciated very much indeed! I’ll answer some of the questions going back a few weeks in this thread now and put some photos up that may help. Sorry not been on the forum for a while, apologies!

The engine is an Audi 3.2 V6 (R32) running at around 280bhp with an addictive sound ... so smooth and great fun!! ... mirrors are touran custom modified, front bumper is custom made from top part Caddy/bottom part Golf Gti mk7 and lower splitter is CSR. Rear roof spoiler is CSR. Rear bumper is R32 style and modified to fit Caddy. Wheels are 8.5j x20” front 10j x 20” rear, front and rear R32 brakes, sitting on KW coilovers front, gaz rear dampers on dark side lowering kit. Milltek Golf mk5 R32 non res modified to fit Caddy. Touran Bi-xenon lights ... future plans to add turbo and 4 motion.

The van is second to none. Seeing it in the flesh blew me away. It looks like it came out and f the showroom like that. And the way it sounds is awesome. Makes me want to drop an r32 lump in.
