Slow progress as I ain't had much spare time lately but made a start on the revamp of the back of my Caddy to try and get some refinement.

Excuse the iphone pics, camera battery was dead...

So backed it up into the garage...

Image

I started by removing my ply racking which took about 4 hours to make but only 5 mins to destroy :(

After...

Image

I then removed the ply sides. (only took progress pics of the passenger side)

Image

And applied my sound deadening, starting with the wheel arches and working my way up. (same treatment both sides)

Image

I've put the ply sides back in for the time being until I buy some acoustic carpet to trim them.

I also put some thick bubble wrap in between the cavity of the roof lining and roof skin for extra insulation/noise reduction. (Again no pics as im lazy! )

Much more progress to come though... I want to sound deaden the floor too, but what I have done has already made a huge difference to noise reduction!!!

And has only cost me £18 to deaden both side and wheelarches so far! :D

Its seriously the easiest thing to do mate, the only thing that takes any time is taking trim/panels off. and refitting after.

Give it a whirl! 8)
