Re: Toffee delights
No used a leather type material and had loads of bubbles underneath and it started lifting before I even had a chance to put them back in

Toffee delights
Got the glovebox/dash trims finished and put back in today. I’m really pleased with how it’s looking now.
Ive left the steering column cowl off as my new steering wheel and gear lever gaiter should be here tomorrow, so hopefully I’ll get them and the module (from Spacewalker) fit at the weekend.

Toffee delights
Well I couldn’t wait so stopped up well past my bed time to get it fitted.
Everything is working with the exception of the cruise as it appears to have a conflict (switches on/off but cluster display swaps between cruise and mileage when switched on). Hopefully it should just be something I’ve missed in the coding as the stalks have been changed to non cruise versions, however no faults were showing. Anyway I’ll have another look later as it was getting very late.
Wiring in the additional modules
All installed

Re: Toffee delights
After seeing Dans Carbon struts thought I’d jump on the band wagon (not that my engine bay will ever be more than just a boring diesel, but hey ).
Total cost is £7.30 and takes about 10-15 minutes in total.
Links for parts and sizes I used:
Real Carbon tube 200mm length (22mm OD x 20mm ID)
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 3766189879
Ferrules (2 of 22mm ID required)
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 1802202012
Remove strut by releasing spring clips using a flat head screwdriver in slot (be careful they don’t fly off and get lost). Unscrew both ends. Measure tube and cut to size. Put strip of 3M tape around end then slide tube up from opposite end and ease over tape until central (you could also glue on). Drill a hole in the centre of each Ferrule to same size as boss on strut. Slide ferrule over each end (I put a small dot of glue on inner edge of Ferrule). Refit ends (with clips back in). Fit to car by simply pushing onto ball joint and enjoy for the whole 1 minute until you shut the bonnet .

Brilliant write up. Worth putting in "how to" section, so will be easy to find for everyone in the future.
