Engine cover difference

Post by liamcaddy61 »

Ok so I've ordered a engine cover for my caddy

But I'm not sure if it will fit, 2011 1.6 tdi

It's off a Passat b7 and the part number is 03L 103 925 AR

I know the one that I was supposed to buy was 03L 103 925 R,

Does anyone know if it will fit or do I just have to wait and see.

And what's the difference between the 2 covers.

Once it’s a CAY engine there should be no issue, Jetta, Passat, Tiguan etc even pre 15 Seat Skoda will do as the VW logo is under the Seat Skoda badge, mine is off a superb, I just popped off the Skoda logo

I bought one off flea bay for 20 quid, but the part number is 03L 103 925 AR instead of 03L 103 925 R and was wondering if there was any difference.
It looks the same as yours expect the recess on the 4 cylinder bits its smooth instead.

When I get chance I need to see if it fits

Just reading this thread and been looking at engine covers.
We have a mk4 caddy maxi 1.6 with engine code CAYD would the engine cover 03L 103 925 R be the correct cover to look for?

Thanks katie

These are the part numbers I used:

1x 03L103925R - cover for intake manifold (VW, TDI)
2x 03L103164 - Ball head bolt
1x 03L133287 - O-ring

AFAIK, the engines are the same, physically. Compare your engine layout to the pic I posted, should be the same.
