Front seats

Post by Adamt11 »

Was wondering what seats are a straight swap. I was looking at mk5 golf seats or Passat seats. Would they go straight in or would I need to buy the touran bases.

Thanks

Hi mate. If you’re looking to do a straight swap, Audi A1 seats go right in and look the biz. Polo from about 2005 onwards go in too, as do and Ibiza and Fabia seats.

@the swan fiend, polo till 2018 i guess. I got 2018 gti seats, and needed to drill a couple holes.

I wonder if the mk2 A1 is the same as the polo then? We’ll find out as people start doing conversions.

@ Stedlocks, I was aiming for A1 seats myself, couldn’t find any that were local and priced right at the time. Wish I’d held out though.

looks like the newer polo seats look more like golf seats, maybe same rails? I can only guess the a1 mk2 is the same, as it used to be the same, but not sure like you said.

I'm not sure what year mine are from? They're the half leather one......i paid £200 for both fronts and the rears, which I have salvaged the leather off!

Bargain!
My a3seats were £120, and they looked grey in the pictures, they’re a sort of green colour though! They look ok.....ish!

There a few sets about that price when I got mine....they seem to have cottoned on though, and put the caddy-tax on!

Hi Dogwalker. I don’t think they will be the same, no. However forum members Stan the Man or Tommyzooom should be able to make you a loom.
