Shaun's white facelift SWB build

Post by Shaunie P »

Well, I thought I may aswell get a thread going for my Mk3 facelift. I bought it pretty much a year ago after having a Mk2 which I loved but got made an offer I could refuse.

So, she started as a poverty spec special and went into the paint shop within the week.

What a difference painting the bumpers made, I’ll post up the pics as I’ve gone though adding bits and peices.

I only wanted a cheap run around

With the bumpers done patience wasn’t great and I lowered the van on a set of V-Maxx coil over and shackle kit, really happy how it looks and drives. Went for 18’s but wish I’d gone for 19’s!

Went for a set of Caddy life mirrors too Image

Cheers BillyGilly

@novakid I went for the easy route and had one painted and delivered, supposed to be the right code, there are a few other bits that need painting so I’ll get it done at some point. Certainly tidied that area up.

Fair bit of interior work done now. The S3 vents are probably my favourite along with fitting carpet.

Big shout out to TommyZoom for not only supplying the wiring loom to hook up my heated Gold GTI leather seats but his patient with the install questions. What a top man!

I had a new front bumper made for the van, a 7.5 GTI hybrid, picked it up from the paint shop a couple of weeks ago. Fitting was all good after a bit of advice from Hef in relation to shifting the screen washer bottle position slightly to allow for the fog lights.

Couldn’t be happier Image

Just need some decent weather for some better pics and maybe a new rear bumper Image
