Side bars.... Do they look right to you guys?

Just had lots of fun fitting some side bars in the rain, I'm not sure but they look low to me?

Is it because others Iv seen have side skirts on that give the illusion that they are closer to the body?

Might just be my imagination, what do you guys think?

I think they look better on a maxi personally mate. What’s your plans for wheels and suspension? They may look better when it’s lowered and on alloys.

When I just went out to take the pics they are actually starting to grow on me, aiming for some 18" black sportline alloys by Christmas, then lowering early in the new year.

May have got the bars at the wrong time lol, maybe should have been after wheels and suspension, that what I get for going on eBay after a few pints

eBay and pints of booze is a very dangerous mix!
Yeah it’ll all come together when wheels are on and it’s lowered.

Not knocking, but curious why (seems mainly UK) people fit these. Is it for cosmetic reasons only or is there something I'm missing?

I’m not a huge fan of them really, I want to swap mine for skirts, but they will look better when lowered and your alloys are on

Ahhhh mate that looks 100% better, I love the look of them on yours, can't wait for my alloys and lowering now,
I can get some A3 s line 17s alloys for cheap, I'm tempted to get them and get them refurbished and sprayed black, saves me ££££ on new sportline 18s

Personally I’d hold out for the 18” mate, 17” look lost in my opinion

Ignore last post, I posted when u posted lol, how low is yours? As said in first post I'm always carrying 200+ kg so don't wanna go too much so it rubs, but after alloys I don't wanna ruin it by having a big arch gap.
What would you say 45mm or closer to 60mm with 18s"?

Sobered up before fitting them looool it wouldn't show, took me bloody hours!!! Brackets were easy to get on, lining the bars up, getting them straight and bolting them in was a f ing nightmare!!!!!!

I’d have no idea mate on 18” with that weight in
I’m on coil overs so I just kept winding it down until I couldn’t get out my road with the speed humps

I wouldn’t worry about getting them too level, I’ve caught mint a few times over sill humps etc and just pushes them up
