Had the van serviced today at a VW/AUDI centre. Great bloke who appears to know his stuff.
I asked if he'd be able to code the rear lights and he said yeah, no problem
When I returned to pick the van up, he'd done a full VCDS scan of the van and said there was no option to code out the rear right reverse light (which is the issue)
He said he'd put a resistor in to remove the fault.
I've left it as is for now. Any advice is, as always much appreciated.

A resistor isn't the best solution.
Have a look at the how-to guide for information on removing the error without risking damage to your van.

Re: Coding Rear Lights Query
Spent a while mulling it over and looking through different threads and I think I'm just going to book in with you after Christmas and let you look at it if that's ok.
Its also a good excuse to stretch the vans legs so to speak haha.

ItS very easy, did my own with OBDeleven, I think the settings you need to change are in byt3 and byt9 if I remember correctly.
