Just ordered a load of sound deadening bits. I did the sides and roof in silent coat after I bought the van. Now I’ll be doing the rear and also the cab. I’ve got 12mm super liner for the rear and Dodo mat pro van floor for the cab. I’m
Hoping to get it something like as quiet as my old A8 was. Image I love my van, but god I miss that car!! Image

Cheers mate. Yeah, little things can make a big difference. They were only £15/20 quid.

Swan’s caddy build

Post by the swan fiend »

Today I started stripping out the cab to install the sound deadening. I found a bit of silent coat underneath that was put down when I had my stereo fitted. That was a bonus! Next will be remove a few more bits, give it a clean and then more silent coat and dodo mat pro van floor MLV. I’m not looking forward to putting the rubber floor back in.....it was hard enough getting it out!
However I’ve had to stop as it’s just started to rain Image
Time for a brew! ImageImage

I’ve managed to get some silent coat down in between showers. That pretty much done now. The Dodo Mat will go down next. I hate having to work in fits and starts. Typical British weather ImageImage

Looks like a tidy job. Be really interested to know what kind of difference this makes once it’s all back together, been debating whether or not to do my cab.

Swan’s caddy build

The rain went off so I managed to get the Super liner down in the cab. The original plan was to use the Pro Van Floor MLV in the front but I didn’t realise how unforgiving it was in terms of pliability.
