MK4 foglights

Post by gazza31112 »

Evening lads, came across this foglight set on eBay, when you add up getting everything separately it seems to be an ok price.
What does the other half of the loom connect to? Obviously to the lights themselves then to what? Electrics ain't my thing if you haven't guessed Image

Anyone local to Watford for coding in a few weeks?????

Cheers Image

Firstly have you got the correct bumper to take those grills and fogs

The wires connect to the central electronics module then get coded in

Hi mate, yea got the bumper, I know that much haha,
Any idea where I'd be looking to find where to plug them in?
By the look of the plugs I assume there already is a plug somewhere to just plug them into?
Iv just not a got a clue where to look for it lol

Cheers mate.
Btw got my a pillars painted yesterday and carpeted the roof lining, b pillars, and overhead storage, really happy with it

It will plug straight into your BCM (Body Control Module)
However you first need to acertain whether your BCM will support fogs. Find out it's part number.

Plug A pin 25 is for the left fog
Plug C pin 25 is for the right fog

Obviously you’ll need a light switch with front fogs on it, that will need a wire from pin 5 on the switch to Plug A pin 21

If you find you BCM does not support fog lights, you can still wire them in without upgrading BCM as explained in this thread https://www.caddy2k.com/forum/viewtopic ... 22&t=15762
In addition to that, would be better to take the +12V feed from the fuse box https://www.caddy2k.com/forum/viewtopic ... ed#p300949

@Giddy. I have come across this problem myself not sure if anyone will see this but worth a go. Only thing is i cannot get onto that part of the forum to read how to take the 12v feed from the fuse box as i have them wired into the bcm and coded but they wont work.
