Post by John M »

Been to see a 64 plate black highline (A/C, MFSW, cruise, parking sensors etc) 1.6 factory fresh, one family business owner from new, main dealer vwsh upto 70k currently at 110k, needs a service now and belts changed other than that its clean and never dinged, has alloys and side bars....my only concern is the 1.6 engine and 110,000 miles....whats your thoughts people...

That is cheap for a highline, even cheaper when you consider it's not white. People are asking more for tatty 2008 white vans with windy windows.
I wouldn't let the mileage put you off.
If you don't have it, I'd like info on it for myself.

I second what the other lads have said. 110k is fine providing the van has been looked after, serviced correctly etc etc. My 11 plate 1.6 has 107k on it, bought with 80k on and it runs fine.
mileage is only half of it IMO. I’ve seen cars with 40k on that are knackered, and cars that are in excellent condition with 150k on.

Will do Swan Fiend, im self employed and works slow right now so mods will come slowly, tbh, better headunit first with rear cam....and swap out the alloys.

Nothing wrong with that mate. My build is a slow burner too. Anyway, there’s no point rushing as it’s not like they’re ever finished!

picking it up at 12 tomorrow, 110k and needing the belts done has me worried for the 70 mile drive home.
