Wheel fitment advice

Post by Crazy7ony »

Hi guys im about to get some wheels but wanted to confirm correct fitment without any rubbing or issues with sliding doors that ive read some people have had. I also have an stx lowering kit to be fitted on at the same time. The specs of the wheels are in the pic, any info would be much appreciated. Cheers.Image

I have run wheels with that spec before but there are a few other variables you need to consider. Tyre specs, how low you’re going to run the suspension, does your van have the shorter or wider rear axle, even the actual design of the wheel can be the difference between the side door opening and not.

Thanks for your input, height wise it wont be stupid low just so it sits and looks ok, not sure about rear axle and if its got the wider version fitted. Its a 14plate maxi 2.0 tdi if anybody knows ?

I think being 2.0 you have the wider axle so et42 is going to poke out of the arch a bit more than you’d want. That will give you side door opening problems.

Yeah that’s a good bet, with 215 or 225/35/19 tyres.
