Hello mate, impressive mods to the van.

Just wondering what you have trim wise on the caddy life rear seats please mate? I've got some in mine but am missing all the trims etc

Cheers

@chrisd317 sorry mate, I've not had much chance to touch the van or get on the forum lately! Just seen your message, I've fitted touran carpets then bought some black 4 way stretch fabric to cover the bare metal before the boarding in the rear starts. The plastic trims to cover the seat brackets came out of the same van I got the seats and seat belts from so I haven't got any part numbers, sorry man.

Finally got a bit of time on the van managed to sort out the mk6 Golf, kufatec loom with a lot of help from stan the man, stripped out the old caddy seats and fitted the golf mk6 heated seats. 2 minute job to code with VCDS and I have heated seats just in time for the warm weather coming!!!ImageImageImageImageImage

Not had much free time on my hands over the last few months as we've still been working through lock down. Managed to get a few hours here and there between work and fitting a new bathroom! First job was to finish the switch box and get it wired in. I've just swapped phones so don't have a picture to hand, but I'll stick one up when I get chance. 2nd job was to removed the 2 BG roof aerials, I roughed up the inside and outside then bonded some ali plates to cover the holes. Once they had cured I banged in some filler and primed. I know it looks rough but I wanted to holes sealed before starting on the roof lining. The whole roof is scratched and I'm undecided what to do with it at the minute. I can live with 2 grey squares that only giants and pilots can see! Lol. It definitely looks better than before!ImageImageImageImageImage

Also made some progress on the roof lining, first level is cut, to fit the courtesy light, spotlight and l-track. Build up the middle to fit the rgb led strip that will sit around that, just need to cut the middle section when I get 5! Once I know dimensions properly I can order the material to trim it!ImageImage

I wish I had seen this thread a few months ago, it looks brilliant and I could have pinched a few ideas
I'm struggling with finding the rear footwell carpet and storage. Do you know how much you paid for yours? Also, do I need to look out for certain year touran? I have a 13 plate ex BG van.

Love it 8) 8) I have exact same van, Converted to 5 seater. Just bought some MK6 golf gti heated leather seats for it.
Was it difficult to fit the wiring loom? Where do I get one from and at what cost?
Cheers. :D

@ilikemysocks cheers man. I think I paid about £100 for the fronts and £95 for the complete rears off of ebay. Not sure if the newest model touran fits, but all the older ones do, they are a straight fit. Definitely one of the best easy mods!!!

@Rohtang666 they're are a definite upgrade from the standard seats! Stan the man is definitely a good place to start. If you're happy with wiring you could always make some looms up yourself, then you just need the control panel and coding.
