Re: Toffee delights
Nice brake upgrade mate, with some cnc'd adapters, propper stuff. And it sounds like you have major suspension upgrade on the way too.

Re: Toffee delights
Thanks lads.
No big change to the suspension, still uses the leaf springs unfortunately. The saddles just remove the need for the multiplate shackle kit, the axle is secured to the leaf springs using the factory U-bolts.

Lister79 ahh that’s a shame it would be nice to just get rid lol does it stiffen the back up at all to stop any sway.

Re: Toffee delights
No mate it will all just function the same just looks a bit neater in my opinion. Fitting extra blocks into the rear hangers stiffens up the rear abit, I’ve also polybushed mine so I hardy get any axle movement.

Re: Toffee delights
Might have to look into that then. I’m
Definitely going down the poly bush option as i don’t like the sway. Is it possible to just cut and weld just the rear axle off a mk5 golf or something like that and keep it front wheel
Drive instead of 4wd if that makes sense lol

Re: Toffee delights
Would need major chassis mods to do that, probably the same amount of work that a full 4 wheel setup would be.

Re: Toffee delights
With the golf being a dual horn you have to add the additional connector, but other than that they fit straight on mate.

Re: Toffee delights
I love reading the First page of these 'megabuilds'.....this one, to paraphrase, basically says
" I'm gonna use this one as a daily, while I sort out the steering issues on the other one....."
How Good must the White one be!!
Another mod that I didn't even know existed! Top work

Re: Toffee delights
Ha ha brilliant, yeah that didn’t last long.
The white one is pretty standard now apart from the 2015 Golf R engine that’s in it.
Fingers crossed if everything goes to plan the engines will be swapped over in the winter of 21/22 (we all need long term goals ).
