Just clueless about what they’re doing I reckon. It works on the kitchen sink so should be fine on the car right?

Re: My Blackberry Caddy
Its crazy how people think it’s ok to do these things. A lady I know asked me about some paint damage to her corsa a while back. I had a look and it was basically a brown patch. Turned out she’d asked her neighbour to polish a scratch out......he’d polished like mad, so much so the brown patch was (I think) the E coat! She asked me how to fix it, and wasn’t best pleased when I told her it was on for a respray!

I see it all the time. A big bird shit mark on a bonnet surrounded by an area of scratches where somebody has scrubbed at it.

Re: My Blackberry Caddy
I was amazed when I realised how bad bird poo is. There’s a flock of black back seagulls who live on the roof of one of the buildings in my work. They drop over all the cars in the car park and in the summer, I used to wash my A8 every day. Luckily they built another car park away from them so I use that one now.

My Blackberry Caddy
Today’s mission for #keepbusy #stayproductive was to repair my smashed splitter (again). This is the second time I’ve done exactly the same repair now but as I will probably be selling this bumper soon it needed doing so the new owner has a nice fresh splitter. I did a proper job breaking the splitter this time. I was turning into a petrol station and hit the ground on the entrance where it was unexpectedly super steep. I couldn’t go as slow as I normally would to get over it because I had to turn off of the dual carriageway at a speed. Anyway, it smashed a chunk off the corner about a foot long
This was obviously not repairable so I didn’t even bother looking for the missing piece on the ground. Luckily I kept my old splitter which some of you may remember the mot tester smashed into his jack a while ago. He paid for a new one at the time so thankfully I kept the old one and have put it into use now.
My plan was to use the old one but repair the chunk missing from the lip by using a small section cut from the destroyed splitter. So basically making 1 good splitter out of 2 broken ones.
Cut a nice neat section out, then cut a matching piece from the other splitter.
Plastic welded inside and out
In primer ready for paint
Done

Nice work (again) Stu. I’ve just showed this to Michelle and she reckons you should lift the van up a bit more. (she’s a smartarse)
Also, she asked if you do nails?

Re: My Blackberry Caddy
Tell her I’d do her nails but I’m stuck at home
I could raise it up, I could remove the splitter all together, but then I’d have nothing to do with my spare time

Re: My Blackberry Caddy
The Audi dealership I work at was officially closed down today so no work for me for the foreseeable future I’ve made a pact with myself to find something productive to do every day because I know if I don’t I’ll go mad. Let’s hope the good weather stays a while because things will get a whole lot more depressing when it’s cold and raining

Gutted to hear that mate. I hope you will be ok. They’re adjusting the rules to give more help to the self employed I’ve read. I think we’ve all got to keep busy somehow. I’ve got my drums and my bass guitar but I’ve been putting off buying a new acoustic guitar......wish I had bought one now.
