Looks like those splitters are very brittle? Top job on fixing it, as always.

 Trace your route and find the bits

@theswanfiend it was a 2017 Audi S3. Was going to buy it from work but one of the salesmen sold it from under my nose. Kind of glad now in a way.

@giddy they’re ABS plastic which is moderately brittle but quite easy to repair.

Nice motor mate.....there’ll be more for sale in the future though
I love Audi’s, had a 51 plate A6 1.9TDI estate in silver, bought it in 2006 and had it for 5 years, then got a 3.0TDI A8 in dark blue. That was a great car. Had that 5 years but suspension and gearbox issues made me swap if for the van.

I always liked Audi’s so it’s been nice to be working on them for the last 6 weeks. I have an old 2002 S3 1.8t 225bhp. 2 owners with 78k miles on it and full history. I only use it to run the dog around as he can’t go in my van :)

This new S3 was for my missus so was going to trade her Mini Cooper S in.

My Blackberry Caddy

Post by hef355 »

True Stu! Wish i still had it today! Only 200bhp but had a ‘super chip’ (remember those haha) to 270bhp. Sounded like a lion’s roar (or the noise mrs when Caddy parts arrive ) ... but in the days pre Samco etc it always blew the pipe between the turbo and intercooler and I had ti carry a spare for years haha!

Yep Pete! King of the road in those days! ... ahh memories!

Good work on the splitter fella....just pop it on my van any time you're passing!

And Heff, I bet you terrorised your neck of the woods as a boy! I drove those lanes in the dark, so I at least knew if something was coming......barely wide enough for one car at times!

We need to start a thread about what fettling we are going to be doing...... I've got some axes to finish, a couple of Ercol chairs to 'upcycle to flog to posho's' obviously fettle and clean the caddy and the camper, the grass needs cutting, etc, etc......

You’ve been lucky enough to have some lovely classic cars Hef

@ Stedlocks, there’s a thread up and running for that mate. I’d link it but I’m a technophobe. Dan@biali started it.

Sorry to sabotage your thread Stu, in fact it’s one of my favourites on the forum if i’m honest! Seeing the continued evolution of this beautiful van and witnessing some (very rare) meticulous skills is a breath of fresh air and I salute you my friend!

But sometimes it is nice to reminisce about some old German classics and times gone by being one of the forum’s more mature members (old fart) ...

Cheers Pete n Pat too
