Top of the frame is same height as the seats when folded plus 5mm so the plywood will rest straight on it with a layer of foam to protect the seat backs

Some of the wires I ordered have arrived but not the fuse box connector or the switch panel or the led lights. Thought I’d make a start at running the wires though.
Several wires need to go to the headlining so started removing the b pillar trim on the passenger side. Removed seat belt and grab handle and one push fitting and it pulled off ok. On to the trim above the door.... not so easy! Remove net, take out push fittings and no movement, remove the push fittings in the edge of the headlining, yes they go through the trim, that will be it.... no, the trims either side hide a push fitting underneath so followed the same procedures on them to lift them out far enough for access. Got the trim off at last.
Need to make dinner so returning tomorrow to actually run the wires. Learning all the time.

All wires that I have have now been run and strings run to pull the other wires through when they arrive (hopefully).
Some soldering to do on the wires for the reversing camera then can plug in a cross my fingers.
Leds have apparently been lost by Royal Mail, I think they are just delayed but seller is sending replacements anyway, might end up with 2 lots.

Soldering day for the camera wires. Hate not being able to get to my workshop, need to make strip for lights and other bits to go on the headlining, will have to do most in the garden with inappropriate tools.
LED’s due today so I can at least wire them in and test them, switch panel hopefully here tomorrow.
Fitting usb sockets in the shelf above the windscreen for the dash cam today too.
One last coffee first, maybe some marmite on toast too :D

Wiring nearly finished. Ran a/v wires up to the shelf from my stereo, power line too. Camera finished and tested, works great. Wires ran to the fuse box for the switch panel in the back, not fitted yet as needed the car driveable for today, will strip and fit tomorrow.

Finding that every trim panel I take off is missing clips. Need to replace when I strip them offfor colouring.

Need to do some more photos, light board for the headlining is done other than mounting.
Dynamic repeaters are fitted and loving them!
Taking the headlining down to dye and to run some more of the wiring behind. Should really be fitting a shark fin aerial at the same time but can’t afford it at the moment so will all have to come down again another time.

The day is here, it’s time to dye the headlining!
This is what I’m using

Makes a mess! (Tarp was definitely needed)

Before

After one coat sprayed and rubbed in with a sponge. (Sponge not usable for second coat, luckily I cut it in half :D )

Tips
Use gloves
White spirit to clean your hands when the non decent gloves you are using, split.
Use a pump spray to save your muscles.
Soak tip in white spirit between coats to stop it clogging.
Don’t let the pressure drop to low or run out of liquid, otherwise it can spray unevenly.

Sorry forgot to take pictures, very pleased, gave a third coat as a couple of bits looked a bit thin on colour. I reckon if I had been more careful sponging I wouldn’t have needed it.

Started painting trims today, just the small one from the bottom of the A pillar and one of the roof lights stripped down. Went so well I’m stripping the front tomorrow to paint, will do the front headliner at the same time.
