EX british gas maxi for carrying around MTB and surfing

Post by Domcaddy32 »

Hi Ive always wanted a van to be able to carry mountain bikes and surf boards.
So far Ive had the bumpers colour coded , old aerials weld upand a rear spoiler fitted (vanstyle).
Van x barn door and a cab divider curtains.
Dodo sound deadening and van liner/plastic bottle insulation.
Replaced the plywood.
Carpeted the rear with megavanman stuff of ebay.
Focal rear coaxial speakers.
Contactor lino flooring.
Put in USB sockets and LED lighting.
Trimmed down the bulkhead.
Made a plywood frame to hold the bikes, pressure washer, and tools.
Roof rails from ebay (second hand of a maxi life).
Fitted a mk4 golf sunglasses holder.

Still to fit
Black badges front/rear.
Touran arm rest.
Focal sub under the drivers seat and components in the door cards.
Cruise control and a leather steering wheel. Still need to set up the VCDS as I couldnt find anyone local to code.
Change the dash board due to scratches and digs out of it.
Fit the pioneer head unit.

Nice progress! I've got the vanstyle spoiler to go on too - did you bolt it on? I was considering just tiger sealing it

To be honest I didn't fit ot. The bodyshop I use did it for me, looks like they used tiger seal ir something like that.
Just fitted the black badges today. Hoping to get a set of highline wheels off a mate for cheap, and wanting to lower the back a bit but not slammed.

Nice, did the speakers make much difference from standard?
