Has anyone tried the cheer blossom shoe polish method of staining grey plastics? a mate of mine has done it on his T4 and looks incredible.

I used cherry blossom on my dads plastic bumpers, been over a year, outside in all weather and still looks black. Be careful cos it stains everything you touch with it

Got a mk4 R32/Leon Cupra black roof light installed..(plug and play!!)

Also waiting for the postman to deliver my Black grab handles and sun visor retention clips.

one can was enough for A/B pillars and seat belt plastics.

My parcel tray is covered in black carpet and the roof lining was 2 bottles of dye!

I have a 5 litre container of autobrite, tried it on plastic, not good. I reckon I’m going to need more than one can for a maxi life including the shelf. Maybe have to do it in sections as money allows

yes the AutoBrite deffo doesn't work on plastics only the roof lining! i recommend the PlastX stuff along as your prep it properly and do thin coats looks factory!

Hi @Timw144
I’ve had driver’s side A pillar off before on mine, and it was a bit of a phaff  when the W8 went in.
Any chance on a quick run through of any problems with the B pillar ? Seat belt etc mate ?

The B pillar is easy as the A pillar to get off

I have lost two of the clips ( one each side down) into the depths of somewhere

you need to take off the parcel shelf to get off the B Pillar so best off doing it in a oner..

i have found out this kit from eBay very helpful in all my carpeting gives you black replacements for most bits.
