The Eibach Sportline kit arrived. Was planning on fitting it with a mechanic pal, as I don’t have the experience to tackle the job on my own. But obviously now on the back burner for now Image

In the mean time I’ve replaced the gear knob and gaiter for one out of an Audi A3. A good match for the Q5 seats. Image

Ollie’s Caddy build

Yesterday afternoon I fitted the Touran front carpets after giving them a thorough clean. Really pleased I went for grey over black, a good match for the rear of the van. Fitted the Golf Mk5 pedals as I had good access to the accelerator pedal. Image

Damn good job! The seats looks awesome. 👍 What kind of material are you guys using to carpeting the back of the van?

Cheers buddy, it's going to be a long a drawn out project due to lack of disposable income but pleased with the standard I have begun with. It's four way stretch carpet mate. I got mine from harrison trim supplies. Plenty of companies out there offering deals on trim adhesive and carpet as a package

Looks like you've done a cracking job of the carpet. would you say it's easily a one man job? I'm looking to do the same, i will probably purchase the same carpet, how much carpet did you buy?? Any tips on installation to make it look as good as yours would be much appreciated too!

@matty_2k 5 metres + 5 cans of adhesive should see you have enough for barn doors, sliding door and sides. Maybe you will have enough left for the roof lining too

@Flautits makes a big difference buddy!

Been waiting a while for a Touran centre console in good condition, and finally one came up at a good price.

Going to make a huge difference to have somewhere to rest my arm finally Image and great to have somewhere to store some things out of sight. Will get it re-trimmed when possible as the grey cloth looks very out of place. Along with a new handbrake sleeve too. As they both stick out like a sore thumb now.

A Touran dashboard is definitely a must, and just moved to the top of my list!

The Eibach kit is fitted, really happy with the result and rides really nice.

Never was a fan of how the previous owner painted the front bumper completely white, just doesn’t look right. So next big exterior change will be that. Rather than get it repainted, it’s going to be replaced with a custom hybrid bumper.

Started thinking about how I’m going to tidy up the rear on the touran centre console. Modified to fit the vents back in, and think I’m going to cut away the section highlighted and either modify the cup holder tray to fit back in or trim some mdf. Image
