Looks mean mate. You do the bumper with cans? Looks like a difficult job binding the two parts well. Are you going to have an exhaust either side of the diffuser?

Re: My BG Caddy maxi build
Yeah, there’s no way I’d attempt an engine swap either. Not even like for like!
I’m still on 3 original injectors mate. One did go a while back though. I’d say leave them until they go, if you keep the engine that is. I have to say, yours would be very deserving of a tsi or tfsi owing to the standard of work done so far though.

Re: My BG Caddy maxi build
@Dylan
It wasn’t the difficult to put the two parts together.
The hardest part for me was the sanding and filling and getting it to look right. I’ve only primed it with spray cans the paint shop will do the hardest part.
And yes I want exhaust pipes each side
@ peter
I think I could do a like for like but not a conversion.
Years ago when engines were more straightforward I did a few engine swaps in my ford carpi’s.
I don’t think I will do anything for now until the injectors start going.
As for it deserving a tsi/tfsi I don’t know about that. But thank you for that very nice comment.

Yeah they are very complicated these days. I really admire the people who can do that kind of work.
I do like a nice Capri, it’s a shame that you hardly see them and other cars of the same age on the road now.

Re: My BG Caddy maxi build
I had a Ford Capri, mk2. When I was a Young man, working for "the Barnet press" newspaper as an advertising salesman, there was a very steep hill on the way in, called 'Cat Hill'.......locals will know of it.......as I went down the hill, I dropped down to third, and the gearstick came off in my hand......i was so concentrating on ramming the thing back in, I didn't stop.......anyway, I still love em!

Looks better now you’ve lifter the intercooler, fills the ‘mouth’. Did you have to trim and of the pipework and did you remove the oe one?

@joshuaaitken
No I didn’t have to trim any of the new pipework.
I just removed the oem pipes and fitted the new silicon ones.

That’s a nice upgrade matey. I think the next upgrade you’re going to need is a trophy cabinet
EDIT: Once you get a petrol lump in that is......don’t worry mate, I’ll help you spend your money
