Just a heads up for anyone fitting a Vanstyle rear spoiler. My own fault entirely for not sanding back through the coat of primer as well as the coat of paint I had put on it, but was still surprised to see it lift all the same!
Great piece of kit for the money and fits well though it has to be said

I'm literally about to fit mine and was thinking I needed to sand it back...thanks for the heads up! Assume it's tiger seal you used?

Yep Tiger Seal lad, no issues there the primer was the weakest link! Thankfully seen the corner of it lifting and got to rip it off before it came off itselfRN7 wrote:I'm literally about to fit mine and was thinking I needed to sand it back...thanks for the heads up! I’m waiting for it on the opposite barn door! My plan is to just keep an eye on it and give it a rattle now and again to make sure it’s not lifting. Not a pleasant job had to shave back the tiger seal with a blade and rub it back to paint (almost), so I’m hoping it stays on.

Re: Vanstyle spoiler warning
Im confused, i got mine about a year ago the primed version. Took the parts to a body shop and had them painted to the correct colour.
I fitted it myself just by cleaning the surface and tiger seal held in place overnight with tape, i didnt bother using the bolts as didn't want to drill the doors and its still solid.
Wonder if they've changed their suppliers and quality

@Crazy7ony
Maybe mate or maybe mine just got a harmless coat of primer. Either way something to keep an eye on and definitely for anyone fitting one sand it right back to plastic

@shameus oh god yes, at least if going back to plastic you should get a good solid bond to the actual product and be stuck for life
