Lock button on key fob unlocking van

Post by Cliffy »

Bit of an annoying issue, when I press the lock button once it locks the van, when I press it again the back door unlocks (not tried the others yet) it’s a bit annoying if you are walking away from the van and just press the button again to make sure you locked it, would this be something to do with the coding? The previous owner did mention he had done something so all the doors unlock with one press of the key instead of 2, any help would be appreciated

That’s great thanks for finding that for me, I will post an update if I crack it, I have Carly for VAG so will give it a scan 1st and have a look at the door modules

For anyone interested I managed to cure this buy using Carly to code the locks back to standard so one press only unlocks drivers door, and 2 presses of the button unlocks the rest of the van, not sure why this works though when locking the van but I’m happy

All my doors unlock with just one press, always have done on both my mk3 and 4.
