Help Please
Hi all,
I’ve got a 2018 Caddy highline and I’m looking at 18x8 alloys but which et will fit best and flush?
It currently has 16” alloys now which are et46 and have been told 42/48 is good.
Can anyone advise please?
Thanks

Re: Help Please
Do you have access to the wheels & tyres topic in the technical section? If so, there's plenty of helpful info in there

Thanks, I’m looking at Japan racing wheels which are 18x7.5 or 8.5 et40 but looking at fitting sites the 7.5’s will poke out 18.7mm on existing rims

Re: Help Please
Hi yes all those wheels you mention will be fine. I have 18x8.5 et40 on my van and fits perfect but I think the van needs to be lowered to make it look right.Intrimrepair2020 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 2:52 pm Thanks, I’m looking at Japan racing wheels which are 18x7.5 or 8.5 et40 but looking at fitting sites the 7.5’s will poke out 18.7mm on existing rims

Re: Help Please
So do your rims fit flush with et40?
I’m having a bilstein coilover kit fitted so if I have the right size rim should look ok.

Re: Help Please
Is your van a 2.0l or a 1.6? The 2.0l has a slightly wider rear axle so et40 could cause issues with your sliding door. Just something to be mindful of.

Re: Help Please
Hi it’s a 2.0 tdi 150 Dsg is that a problem then with et40?
Maybe a 18x7.5 rim or ok with 8.5?
Thanks

Re: Help Please
I've got the same model as you. It's not the engine per say but it was spec with bigger wheels from the factory so came with a bigger axle (so I'm told). I've got Et42 on mine and I've issues with the side door. I started a thread called Axle Swap, there's some info on there by more knowledgable members than me that may be useful.

Ok thanks for your advise.
I’m looking at the Momo Massimo 18x8 et40 so hopefully these will be ok.
I’ll also have a look at your thread
Thanks
