@Flukes
If you want a Touran ratchet arm rest then yes you have to change the centre consul.
But you can just get the ones from eBay the fit in the holes at the back of the caddy centre consul
@ sevncaddylife
I have order some new ones
OK thanks for the reply, currently looking for a caddy 4 to replace my 3
and therefor needed to know if it would be easy retrofit
Its like premier in carpet, but with fewer dubious love stains!
Fair play mate...everytime I see a dash swap, and people say 'ah, it wasn't too bad, I just can't help feeling 'snakes wedding'!
Yeah I’d agree mate, though it’s not a mod I’d be brave enough to attempt anytime soon!
Hopefully it’ll have a higher quality feel than the standard dash?
This looks awesome Sean mate! Credit to you fella, van is so much nicer with that dash! Looking forward to getting mine fitted in a few years time haha
@hef
Thanks buddy. A few years your be on to other one by then
They are not that hard to do it was easier that I thought. It’s just time consuming for me as I wanted to get all the wiring in that I wanted so I don’t have to take it all a part again
I see you cracking on with your 4wd
Very nice again mate..... You gonna be the first to retrofit the Audi air vents into the touran dash?
I can recommend using plastidip and doing your wheels yourself..... A company near me called 'matt-pak' do millions of colours and finishes. A set of wheels will cost around £40 for flip paints and pearls etc..... Its come on a million miles in recent years, and if it doesn't work, peel it off and do another colour!
@pete
I didn’t get a sub I might get one later I don’t know yet.
I now have 4 speakers in the front and I still got my bulkhead in so it can get loud in there
Good work. I do think the stock speakers really let it down. Very tinny with no bass to speak of. I was thinking of adding a sub to see how that improved things. I'd be intersted to know how much more bass and mids a driver upgrade would produce?
Hi Sean1066 I would like too take a moment and thank you for this build thread ! Truely a major influence on my BG build so well documented with pictures / details
