Removed some 12v wiring from the ex BG maxi.
Lots has just been chopped and left in place (presumably when de-fleeted) so chased and removed 12v cabin lines and found a load of what looks like comms lines(?) Heading up the a pillar and towards the rear.
That'll be tomorrow's job then!

Used my DI water setup fro the first time to give the Caddy bit of a wash. Normal TDS (total dissolved solids) for the tap water was about 430ppm which meant I had terrible water spotting which was a pain to get rid of. After the water was trickled through the DI filter into a holding tank the TDS is now 0ppm. No more water spotting making the wash process a bit easier.

DI vessel is a great purchase for ease when washing. Couldn't go without mines now even though the water isn't hard where I am

Also did my mums black Passat with the DI water and that is a complete pain to wash. Soon as there is any sun out the body heats up and evaporates the water leaving loads of water spots. The water is so hard here in Norfolk it destroys plastics. We only use stainless kettles with a metal filter, plastic kettles just disintegrate on the inside.

How long do the filters last?
I usually have 2000 litres of rainwater collected, used to filter through sand for filling the hot tub but mostly used for watering the garden on a timer. Sand filter needs an overhaul and we don’t have the hot tub at that house anymore.

@Papa Bear Hopefully I’m looking to get a few thousand litres out of the system but as usual there will be a number of factors which will affect this. Looking at the TDS readings for my rainwater I would use this but I only have 700 litres for the garden. It definitely helps when wash the motor so I’m happy.
