So, 1st dry day and I managed to fit the diffused LED’s into the door handle recesses

Camera makes them brighter than they are in the flesh

Image

I might increase the LED resistance to dim them a bit more.

Tried to make the wiring as OEM as possible, even though it’s behind the door card! Didn’t have the correct connectors though Image

Hard wired my new dash camera in too, motion sensor now operational.

Colour coded eyebrows installed as well rear spoiler reattached, albeit properly this time Image

Both sides of my rear spoiler were being held in place by gravity, eek!

Image

And what happens when you paint the underneath of the spoiler prior to attaching, not clever!!!

Finished off the passenger side door handle illumination and quietened down the squeaky window with some silicone spray

Image

And sorted out my van insurance to cover all my mods...

Colour coded modified bumpers
Multimedia HU
Seats
All the interior mods : seats, MFSW, LED’s, carpeting, etc...
Coil overs and axle flip
Alloy wheels

Low excess, mirrored NCB, fully comp, £275, result!

A-plan insurance, Thatcham branch, they deal exclusively with modded vehicles and camper conversions.

Battery box fitted today, tidy’s up the engine bay nicely

Image

Oh, and seeing as I was taking the Caddy dash out to install air con it would have been rude not to fit a Touran dash, awesome!

Image

Air con heater box and climatic controls fitted along with all the cab and engine bay wiring, waiting on 1 more hose arriving before running the pipes, fitting the condenser, compressor and drier then vacuuming out the moisture and gassing her up and trying it out before the summer heat turns to winter!

And the list continues...

9. Dukes of Hazard air horns (so ‘70’s)
14. Touran centre console and dash - complete
16. Touran/Tiguan instrument cluster
19. Lowering kit - all here along with new top mounts, wishbones and ball joints, waiting on workshop space to fit
23. Replacement colour coded rear bumper
24. Diesel filter cover
26. 12 button MFSW
27. Battery box and cover - complete
28. TV/DVD/multimedia unit
30. Barn door to tailgate conversion and flip camera (long term)
32. Heated fan washers
33. Air con - parts sourced, gas arrived, new o-rings sourced, awaiting delivery of 1 more pipe (half a pipe arrived this afternoon, who sells pipes with the end cut off!!!!) and the compressor
34. Front splitter - is here, will fit when lowering
