@caddyforcarp , I’m not sure, as the pin out is different, I think? Give em a ring, they are easy to talk to, and can probably answer.... the physical hole they fit in is the same though, as for as I’m aware?

Barndoor, yes, tailgate, no. You will need to repin the plug on the car side. Basically, you'd be doing a reverse of the Mk4 lights on Mk3 mod.

I’m guessing this is fairly straight forward and just swapping pins or fitting an adapter?

Once you get your post count up, and have access to the rest of the forum, you will find the info. It's swapping pins, I don't believe there is an adapter available.
