Re building my calipers after being re furbed, ive got all new internals, seals and pistons.
Done the rears no problem but how the f**k do i get this seal back on lol.
My fingers hurt so gave up for the day.
Wondered if anybody had any tricks i could try or do from home. Im guessing it be a case of pressing it on with a suitable tool.

Re: Seal fitment
If am doing any kind of seal that is hard unlike an o ring etc,i always boil the kettle and put it in the cup with the hot water to make it flexible and easy to work with

Re: Seal fitment
@Bigg83 good idea and worth a try, its also got a metal rim in the bead of the rubber which is the problem stretching it over and into position but ill certainly warm it and try it pal

Re: Seal fitment
I soaked them in boiling water first then worked the seal around and tapped the last bit over with a small rubber mallet.

Re: Seal fitment
I've never come across a dust seal you have to press on. Usually they're easy to fit with just your fingers.
Are these Caddy calipers?

Re: Seal fitment
@VanLife they are r32 calipers or same as s3 calipers, theres a metal ring in the seal which makes it hard to fit by hand, if they just pushed in I'd be fine but proper tight.
