Yes bit of 2000 grit and rotary polisher only took 5 mins. Quite bad. But sorted.

Re: Stormtrooper caddy 4 build
Is it really that easy ( I say easy) to remove deep scratches. I have a few on the side and a couple along the back of mine. Is there a certain point at which this method won't work?
Also could you reccomend a rotary polisher for a beginner. Looking to get into trying a proper polish and scratch removal.

@pepsi
Well yeah there is a point... your go through the clear coat then your need to respray it. But if there light then yeah a bit of 2000 grit a little sanding pad and a bit of experience.
Rotary tend to cut quicker but honestly they can be a little dangerous in new hands so I would recommend a Vertool DA doesn’t cut as quick but does a good job. Your need the correct pads and compound..... it starts getting expensive

Re: Stormtrooper caddy 4 build
So the vans back to normal today got a new tyre fitted. Would like to thank ATS in cheriton for driving the van into an upslope and ripping the bottom of the bumper along the concrete so after I was telling the guy to be careful and about the side skirts and it’s low...they clearly didn’t listen so £50 reduction on the tyre so it wasn’t to sad. I was just worried it could have cracked the custom bumper but thankfully all looks ok. But it was hammering it down so it was a quick look.

Re: Stormtrooper caddy 4 build
Little service today.
Also glow plugs. Had a engine management light pop up. It was plug 1. So replaced them all.
All done running smooth.

Caddyluv is your rear number plate plinth an edition 30 or have you custom made that? As it doesn’t look like a painted line

@azz03. No mate it’s been custom made.
Then primed, preped and painted. Use thin pinstripe tape to do the black and white paint.

Caddyluv I did think you’d put a small rebate on the plinth to give the idea of the separate lip looks top notch mate. I have searched loads but they don’t do the edition30 rear plinth do they only the side strips?

Vans so dirty needs a good clean. But doing these country lanes you think why bother.
