Re: Hampshire Caddy
I must be weird... I quite like the satisfaction of refitting the A pillar trims, done it 4 times now as I discovered even putting in 5 spare wires isn’t enough, also had to remove them when replacing the dash.
I’ve had to replace a few broken clips and like @caddyluv said, open the door, sight the clips through the windscreen and line them up one at a time from the bottom with a long, thin screwdriver
A little bit of masking tape across the clip helps them stay in place if you have to adjust them.

Re: Hampshire Caddy
@Papa Bear. It was a odd conversation mate. I went in for a full speaker upgrade and nearly walked out with a complete retrim in dark grey suede
Luckily my bank balance had control of my brain and my planned mod list was nowhere near completed so throwing down extra unplanned cash wasn’t an option
That and having a nice suede interior with a dog and 2 grandchildren under the age of 3 didn’t seem compatible

Re: Hampshire Caddy
DSG lights are now blue and fitted, ultrasonic off switch fitted, dash mascot caddy now has blue led, will wire into the footwell lights at the weekend, Audi door handle lights are now fitted with blue LEDs, will take off door cards probably next week to adapt and wire in and fit, will door alarm LED while there.
Left to do, still need a front to a dual fog, auto light switch and need a new passenger window switch. eBay searching soon.

Re: Hampshire Caddy
No, just interior. Headlights would have to be 1mm LEDs or fibre optics. No no no, not going there

Re: Hampshire Caddy
I did look at fibre optics for the headlining but to get a decent set was too expensive at the time.
Don’t think I can warrant buying a set just for dash caddy

Re: Hampshire Caddy
Alarm led in the door replaced, passenger window switch done.
Audi internal door handle light on drivers side fitted and wired in, passengers fitted but not wired in yet. Ran out of wire and repair wires. Will need coding after.

Re: Hampshire Caddy
@ papa bear, Ive been liking your colour changes and want to have a go ad changing my needles blue, ive got a spare touran cluster ive pinched the needles from, stripped the red and converted the needles to blue but on plugging back in still get the red coming through (purple) I assume there is a red LED in the cluster itself, how much of a ball ache is this to change? I guess that's whats you've done?? Thanks

Re: Hampshire Caddy
Hi Geoff, yes there are red leds, 4 on my cluster, I believe some VWs have six. They are surface mount LEDs so some experience with them is best. They are Plcc 2 , 3528 LEDs.
