Favourite VCDS 2K Codings/Adaptions
Hi Guys. Just wondering what are the top and recommendations for adaptions and Codings for the 2K caddy. I have my hex cable and have played with a couple of things. Couldn’t get coming home to work though. I might be missing a step.
Thanks all
So Far activated.
Needle Sweep/Cenlebration
Changed aircon from china to ROW
Enabled cornering lights with fogs
reduced current to DRL (LED was very bright and scattered)
DRL off on turn signal
Horn beep on lock/unlock (activated but doesn't beep lol)
coming Home lights. all activated but can't get it to function at all...
Seat belt warning off
Auto lock turned off
Washer fluid warning turned on
Handbrake On turns off DRL

Plenty of contenders, but the one that has brought the most tangible benefits is the tyre pressure sensing via ABS. Have a look on the forum for TPMS.

The coming home lights...
Turn headlights on with car running, turn ignition off and pull key out, flash the full beams, then open the door. As you open the door, the "coming home" lights will come on for the specified amount of time

Agree with the TPMS - it has saved me twice now.
Intrigued as to what swapping aircon from China to RoW does?

Re: Favourite VCDS 2K Codings/Adaptions
Still can’t get this to work. I’ve tried every way. I haven’t had a good look at what’s available with options. I did a full adaptions report. But yet to look over if I missed a setting. I’ve only really had experience with mbq and coding and that was a while back. I’ll have to hope in my GTI 2017 and have a look at what settings I saved there as that car works no issue.ACalamita wrote:The coming home lights...

Not sure what difference it makes. But I’m not in China. I’m in Aus/ROW
my Car language was also set in German. Which I changed to English.

Re: Favourite VCDS 2K Codings/Adaptions
I’m awaiting delivery of my Discover Media STD2. Be interesting to look through all those adaptions. Assuming I can get the car menu. As I have it flashed with latest MBQ menu layout.

So looking at all this coding, and I’m new to it all what are people recommending to buy to get started.
