My Caddy Conversion....
Though I’d start a thread for the conversion of my Caddy.
Don’t have a huge amount of pics of before internally but I’ll start documenting it a bit better
Came full height ply lined, thick (badly) carpeted lining, zero sound deadening and insulation and some shoddy roof and floor lining.
I’ve stripped it all out and ordered a load of stuff to start the conversion.
What it looked like before (ish)
One side removed, wheel arch ply and carpet.
Other side, will remove that OEM panel when I can be bothered dealing with those horrible pop fastener things.
Getting there, closed the side door and found more that I forgot about!

So came home from work to a load of packages. Insulation coming out my ears!
Noico sound deadening sheets, Kiravans foil backed foam sound insulation, dodo deadmat duo flooring and a roll of fluffy dodo thermo fleece.
Best get stripping and cleaning!

Re: My Caddy Conversion....
Stripped the remainder of the rear, headliner, bulkhead, OEM panels and then cleaned the hell out of it.
Amazing what some soapy water can do.

Good work!! Interested to follow this thread, as it’s one of the next jobs on my list!! Where did you buy all of the insulation / sound deadening from?

Rigguz cheers dude!
The sound deadening was from Amazon I think, it’s the Noico stuff. The foil backed foam was from Kiravans, the dodo deadmat and thermo fleece was from deadening.co.uk
All super quick delivery too!

Re: My Caddy Conversion....
Been a week or so, trying to fit this in between a full time job and running a bike repair business in my spare time. So very slow progress. So enjoyable though!
Sound deadening completed, every visible bit of outer skin covered with it. Bit OTT but I had extra.
Foil backed insulation from Kiravans fitted over the top of all that now too. The difference in sound is amazing!
Fitted the 100mm thermo fleece from Dodomat but didn’t get any pics.
Carpet arrived and tested a panel. Hidden clips make it look super clean!
Now to attempt the rest of the ply panels, cut some ply to fit in the cavities then carpet the sides
Has anyone got any pics of the rear tailgate carpeted? Not sure what to do here, just carpet the ply panel or carpet up to the seals?

Looks fantastic! This is deffo gonna be my first serious mod on my new Caddy when I find some spare time. I'm finding the noise is the biggest drawback to Caddy life so far.

Re: My Caddy Conversion....
Been a couple weeks since I posted.
Got the insulation and sound deadening on the floor, new plywood floor, carpeted both sides as well.
I’ll get some pics of the other side tomorrow when it’s a bit lighter.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Re: My Caddy Conversion....
Been off it a few weeks.
Finished up all the existing panel carpeting, swapped seats from originals to some newer versions (old ones were a stinking grey colour) and ordered some altro flooring, new ply roof liner and awaiting some LED lights for the lining.
From these :
To these :
Also decided to take a saw to the old bulkhead and create pillar trims. Still to sand them down and carpet them but hoping it’ll mean no more big gaps.
Next up finish the flooring, install a split charge system and battery, along with some usb sockets and switches for the LED lights.

Re: My Caddy Conversion....
Attacked the altro flooring today. Then it attacked me. Came out with a few good ol cuts to the fingers.
Looks brilliant though.
Just need to glue it down now.
Anyone have a tailgate threshold trim in black they fancy selling to replace that horrible grey one?
