Nahh, they have small strips of leather (the black bits) but are mostly fabric.

Hi Everyone - I'm planning to buy the Audi A1 2011 seats.
I own a Caddy 2007 and I was wondering if such seats from the A1 would be a direct swap.
Or I need anything custom?

Thanks

I'm mounting my 7R seats in my caddy 4 right now. Can anyone help me and tell me how to wire them? Both seats are heated, and have airbags in the seats. No electric seat adjustment.

You need to purchase the correct heated seat controls and retrofit loom.
tommyzooom may be able to help you with the parts you need. I have just fitted the loom to my 7.5 R seats but it will be different as mine is a facelift Mk3 with basic heater controls.

Yes we have all been there at some point post building. It’s just the general rules of the forum and easy to participate in order to build your post count.

They aren’t straightforward to wire up. You will need a new heater control panel, loom, heated seat module and coding,in order to do it safely and
have the factory fit look.

Thanks for your reply, are you sure i need a new heater control panel and heated seat module? like already said i have a caddy 4, from 11/2018, and my factory seats already were heated?

The golf 7 seats, have 1 wire more than my caddy factory seats.

So the simplest fit would be to get Touran seats already on the bases? (My bases could do with replacing) as the plastic has snapped) I just need new seats ideally ones which fold flat. Anyone in London who could do the lot?

Help needed! Question i think everyone have:

I read somewhere that if i wanted golf 7 seats i have to have touran's base for them to be almost perfect match?

In my caddy i have airbags in seats but i don't have electronic adjustments that i want to have with new seats is it possible?
I believe that term is retrofitting..?

Also what about back seats?

What seat to use in back, are they all same for golf touran caddy etc?
Should i buy 3-door or 5-door seats?

Thinking about these seats from my local buynsell site:

1. IDK model but r line

Hi to fit the MK7 seats you can either fit Touran seat bases which enable a straight fit, or you can drill the Caddy seat bases for the fixing holes and the peg that’s on the underside of the seat.

To wire them in Stantheman or tommyzooom produce the looms so that everything will work as factory.

Rear seats, only the Caddy life or Touran rear seats will fit properly.
You may be able to make golf seats fit but I imagine it will be more work than it’s worth compared to the life or Touran ones, which are relatively simple.
