That rear bumper is going to be difficult I think. Kris feel confident?

Re: Caddy 1.4tsi WAV Build
Yep definitely difficult but he seems up for it.
Took lots of pictures when he came and hit me up with a few ideas earlier this week. Think he’s getting the parts together to start soon!

J100WEE Do you mean the part in the dash mate? I’m not entirely sure but I think it was on the Caddy Life model.

Hi @Sag1, Lovely looking van! Can't wait to see it with the new bumper on!!
Just a quick question - How easy was it to install the new stereo? Was it plug and play?

Re: Caddy 1.4tsi WAV Build
Thanks mate!
Not quiet plug & play but not far off. I got a wiring adaptor from Skipton Car Radio which includes all the parts needed to connect the cars existing wiring to the new head unit.
It also comes with an aerial connector.
I got a DAB connector with my HU which utilises the cars existing DAB antenna too.
Having never worked on a VW before I disconnected my existing unit which took a couple of mins, checked what cables needed to go where and then pre-wired and arranged the adaptor so when I came to fit, it was simply plug and play.
Happy to help if you are in a similar position and need any advice as will most members here!

Re: Caddy 1.4tsi WAV Build
Thanks buddy - I’ve been looking at various units for a while and like the idea of wireless car play! Seems like the best option!

Re: Caddy 1.4tsi WAV Build
Not an update I was hoping for next but this happened today
Reversed into the corner of a Skip at work. Been reversing out the same spot 5/6 days a week for the last 17 years and today, somehow messed it up so badly
Feel like an absolute idiot! Luckily the powered tailgate and ramp still work so i can still get about.
Any ideas on how big a repair it’ll be?

Re: Caddy 1.4tsi WAV Build
Oops
I reversed into a skip a month ago, luckily only a small dent under the window. 1/2 inch higher and window would have been gone.
Yours looks a fair job. Sorry

Re: Caddy 1.4tsi WAV Build
Collected my Touran R rear bumper from Kris earlier today. We decided to let the body shop split it into the 3 sections for the wheelchair ramp.
Also got my Alltrack skirts so that’s the whole lot for the body shop to start on.
