This has to be one of the nicest looking caddy’s I’ve come across now, the colour and wheels really make it. :D

Thanks Katie!!!
With so many wheel choices these days, I'm glad I chose something a bit less common. Had to have black wheels on the Pure Grey though! :lol:

Personally @HicksyOz, I think you’re a bit of a sadist mate 😂
You’re gorgeous Van framed by gorgeous surroundings without a cloud in the sky, whilst we’re freezing our cobs off over here in sub zero temperatures 😩😩
Van is truly outstanding, good on yer 👍😎

@Ripley55

Haha sorry mate :lol: If it makes you feel any better it was about 37c the day I took those photos... So it may look lovely but was roasting!! The DRL's are on in the pics because I needed to keep the car running for the AC :shock:

Awesome feeling having others appreciate the car I've built that's for sure!

HicksyOz - Van looks amazing mate! It would be the only one of its kind in Australia. VW finally got my van in! I can’t believe how high it sits, after reading you issues with suspension would you recommend another brand or was more of an issue of the installers?

@Cgiorgi
I would be stoked if it is the most modded one in Aus, no idea how I would find others, other than this forum I reckon!
I am going to take it to a Coffee and Cars next month so will be interesting to see peoples reaction to it.
Thats great news, let the mods begin!! did you say you bought Touran seat bases or are you going to drill new holes to make your R seats fit? I still haven't committed to the seats that are near me. I'm sure it won't be that hard to make work but I just am really time poor and lacking storage space!

As for the suspension, it has been all good since we changed the pin position in the shackle. No other noises have come about or anything odd like that so for the most part I'm quite happy. It may be a hard kit to order from the Aus distributor though as they were not keen on bringing another set in after the dramas with mine. But if you do go with BC then speak to Darrin and maybe mention you've seen my issues and understand there may be some fiddling needed to get the set up perfect.

My new caddy came with the higher bases from the factory so they are just are straight swap, I’ve got another 2020 base model caddy and it comes with the shorter bases so you will need to check which one you have and then go from there, I can get some comparison photos and part numbers if you like. I really want to get the seat heaters hooked up but it seems like it’s going to be quite a job!

Can I ask roughly what it should cost to lower the caddy, it looks like it has been jacked up haha! Can’t wait to sort it out. I’m not sure if I should take it to a suspension specialist who I don’t know or give it to the mechanic that does all our servicing who has always looked after us (at least I know he will take his time).

@Cgiorgi different seat heights huh?! Interesting! If you could send a couple of photos through that would be great please. Supplied and installed (with a bit of extra labour for all the mucking about) I paid around $2300.

@Sverigr1234
yep there is definitely a couple of hilux's getting around!! Haha

This thing looks great, definitely giving me some ideas, I have a Pure Grey Crewvan and it took me ages to get after I ordered also. I'm sure mine is one of the only ones in manual in Aus.

I wish I could see this thing in person!

@Cgiorgi @Giddy thanks guys, I definitely don't have the comfort line version which is frustrating... they look like they are higher than standard rails? If so, how much does this effect overall height with the r seats. (I do remember seeing this in a thread but can't seem to find it again)
Will check my local wreckers and try my luck but don't like my chances finding any.
@jamente cheers mate! I always swore I'd never buy an auto but the dsg is great. Be curious to see which is quicker, manual or dsg, not that a 1.4 is a race car or anything!! where are you in Aus?

You've done a great job on that. I love how it's turned out.
