Re: Let the build begin
Chest infection meant no MTB’ing today so to relieve the boredom I made my heated seats wiring loom this afternoon
From this offcut x 2
To this...
Next step is to remove the dashboard, fit the climatronic heater panel and controls then wire the loom in! Just need a dry day that’s above -3 degC

Thanks for taking the time to have a read through, much appreciated!
And remember to pace yourself when it comes to splashing the cash for mods....

Wow. love the thread
Complete the whole thing whilst “enjoying” a family members bday party. Great build. Hopefully using a few of these on my caddy. Might even start a build thread like this.

Nice build mate
Going back to your bulk head carpet job, I've just ordered some stretch carpet to do the same. But I'm debating whether to make some thin MDF panels to cover the mesh part of the bulkhead? Did you go straight over yours?

Re: Let the build begin
Hi Buddy, cheers!
Yes, I glued the carpet over the top of the open vents as I wanted the rear of the van to be able to "breathe" and also get a little heat/air from the cabin to reduce moisture throughout. It works very well, I've not had any overnight condensation in the front or back despite having a frequently dripping wet bike in the back. The heat from the dash vents heats up the top of the bulkhead.
I also left the bottom section of the bulkhead in the back carpet free making it much easier to keep clean as the wheel rests against it.
I was worried that the noise from the back of the van might transmit through, however the carpet absorbs the noise from the back of the van really well, noise levels are very low.

Cheers buddy, it’s getting there!
Time to think about some under the bonnet upgrades!
There’s a great how to in the technical section that details how to resin and code them in! You have enough posts to request access now
