@Lister79 I have read this thread from beginning to end over a couple of evenings and have loved it.

There are many fantastic bits but my favourite is you GTD front seats and matching rears 😍

I don’t currently have a caddy yet, I’ve only just ventured into VW ownership over the last 12 months as I bought a new Polo GTI in February last year. I love my Polo but have a real itch for a Caddy especially after seeing yours 😊🤓

Thanks for the comments lads, and Nath&alex thanks for taking the time to have a read through the build. Yeah the seats/interior is/was definitely my favourite part also.

Hi Lister,

Have you wired in the fog lights on standard OEM stalk?

Also, the bonnet cable mod, where is the picture above? Assume engine bay, is it visible?

Hi mate my van has factory fit fog lights I just had to make up an adapter loom to connect the Golf MK7.5 led lights.

Yeah with the bonnet open standing in front of the van, if you look towards your knees you’ll see it clipped to the back of the slam panel.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Fog lights was an easy mod then. That bumper is on my list of things to do with fog lights.

Thanks, I will slap a cable tie around it as I have heard they break.

Looking at your post, I assume you can adjust the camber? Both front tyres are rubbing on the inner edge. It has stance coils on, not fitted by me so I assume its the chamber causing the problem.

No worries mate. For the sake of a couple of minutes and a cable tie it’s well worth it.

Yeah my coil overs have adjustable top mounts so I can set the geometry up perfect. Have you had your tracking checked? as too much toe out is the most likely cause of your tyres knocking the inner edges off, at least that’s what I’d check first.

Will do, just need the weekend weather to improve! It is not rain its snow. I see you are from the Lakes, I am relocating to the lakes/Cumbria shortly.

I have not, its on the list to do. I didnt lower the van, and I work from home so barely drive. Due to the weather other than sorting the insides out, I have got underneath it yet.

I did know whether the hubs were camber adjustable. Stance coilovers wont have adjustable top mounts, so most likely will be tracking. I could string it up and measure it myself, but tracking for £40-£50 is easier haha

Not a bad day on the van; got the engine out and made a start unwrapping the loom.

Lister79 I guess there’s no going back now haha. I’ve just noticed you’ve even got carbon fibre gas struts on the bonnet. Haha every little detail

Azz03 it’s always the little things mate. There’s a “how to” if you fancy making yourself a carbon strut.

Giddy I don’t know about that mate, suppose that’s what happens when you don’t sleep much
