What an brilliant build you have done mate. Some
amazing work and skill as gone into upgrading it. I recently bought a caddy to transport my fishing tackle but it
is in need of a massive amount of work/modifying.

Engine cover finished, haven't had time to install it yet. It took me ages to sand it smooth, I went through all the grits from 120 up to 1200. I didn't want to mess it up at the painting stage so I had the body shop paint and seal it for me. I painted the sound deadening foam underneath with some red paint to match the brake calipers.

Doing some work on the MK4 door cards now. I got some 3M 2080 MX12 Matrix Black vinyl wrap. I've covered the door handles, door trim plate for interior control and the small black door cover with it.

Spent too much time reading your thread today. I've tinkered a tiny bit with my Maxi, touran bits etc, but your caddy looks mint. So many other great vans on this site, but love yours A lot of skill and dedication. Nice one

Hi kneecap, thanks very much. I was only tinkering at the start to, so be careful

Hi Innes and thank you. No it doesn't, my OCD wouldn't let it happen ;). I got the VW badges from Travelinlite, I'm not sure about the size, they list them on the website by the year of your van. The R badges I got of ebay.

Hi caddy4mo,

Yes speakers and under-seat subwoofer installed. The speakers are a big improvement over the stock ones I took out but the subwoofer really makes a big difference. I am happy with the end result.

I picked up a Ignition Key Bezel Light Ring, with big thanks to stan-the-man for the loom. This is the multi color Bezel Light Ring and with stan-the-man special loom it goes red when door is closed and turns white when unlock/ open the door, just like his footwell lights :D
