Yeah we’re all good mate. I got mine from travelinlite back in the summer. I’d be curious to know if they are cheaper at TPS?

I’ll be pricing them up at some point mate. It’ll be a while off yet as I’ve got other stuff to do to the van that I think is higher priority. I’ll report back here when I do.

For the first time ever, I’ve just been knocked back buying stuff from TPS actually. Only oil and bits, and the dealers weren’t answering so I’ve asked my local garage to order the bits for me.

Over the weekend I did a service on the van. Engine oil and filter change and gearbox oil change. Plus a check over of brakes and suspension for general wear and tear.
The fuel filter was done last year so I didn’t change that, as was the pollen filter and brake fluid. All good to go for another year.

Today I fitted the footwell lights I bought from @Beaker2135. I hadn’t intended to do this mod, but I saw them for sale and it was an impulse buy. I also thought it would be good experience for me to do another electrical modification.
I bought splitter loom from Stan the man so as I didn’t have to start splicing and soldering in a confined space. So I split the plugs and fitted that, then connected the lighting loom it.
I did a bit of cutting to the two side pods in front of the centre console with my dremel, and fitted the lights. All in all, well happy!

@ Papa Bear. Red is my favourite colour mate.

@C Chis, yeah I’m made up I did it. I’m contemplating door lever illumination now.

As we both know gents, it never stops

Cheers Craig. I thought they would stay on permanently when the headlights were on actually. But to be honest, I’m glad they don’t.

@Papa Bear, I’ll fit blue lights if you renounce marmite
All joking aside mate, your blue LED conversion is something else. No way do I have that skill set

You stick with red because I’ll never renounce marmite lol
I still need to finish my blue. Need a new light switch. It annoys me it’s still red. Plus seriously looking for a mfsw so that will need to be changed to blue too.
Missing working on the caddy, the poor thing is filthy inside and out with shifting tools around.
Nice to see you are back on the modding

Swan’s caddy build

Post by the swan fiend »

Haha, Deal

Yeah I can imagine it would do. Taking those buttons apart looks seriously fiddly, as does soldering with such precision.
You’ll get time soon, when I was doing my house up, I had my A8. There were a few occasions where it was criminal what I had to transport in it. My dads wheelbarrow was one thing!
I’ve got more bits to do. Aiming to finally get the spoiler fitted this year, and rail covers. It’ll be a slow burn as always!
