Re: The Caddy Alloys Thread
I switched from the factory 17" to 18" wheels.
Comfort suffered a bit, but I got used to it.
I was able to buy brand new wheels.
Color: ShadowChrome
Parameters 18 "x7.5 ET51. Tire: 225/40/R18

Re: The Caddy Alloys Thread
Afraid so mate, I sold my old van as I thought I knew better and just used my car again.
That lasted 4 weeks when I came across a spiders web by the steering wheel .
Sold at the right time but bought at the wrong time. I promised myself the van would stay stock, I lasted 3 weeks, doh.
Washed and clay barred the van on Sunday probably why it looks clean mate or it's the P&S beadmaker I used. Next will be a machine polish and gtechniq csl and exo coating. Used csl on my wheels which works a treat.
How's the fishing going mate over with you, any targets for this up and coming season?

Thanks dazza, I will be the first this was not my first choice of colour. It just happened to be within a budget that I had.
I'm just 50% now through sorting out the arch gaps mate.
Just looked at your post recently regarding your engine transfer job. You did well getting that job sorted in 4 days.
I wouldn't know where to start.

Hi guys, new member alert!
For everyone that has changed their wheels, do you bother with keeping the rolling diameters the same or just use GPS for a speedo?

Just had these bead blasted and powder coated in high gloss black so will use these as winter wheels. Now on the hunt for something nice.

Re: The Caddy Alloys Thread
Awesome,
Just what I needed to see was the choices of rims available for the caddy.
As a newbie to caddy’s can I ask, I’m probably looking at 18’s and coil overs to lower it.
I’ve read all the questions about ET and the side door catching.
What dimension wheels with what etc do you recommend so it doesn’t foul the door please. And do they need to be a certain load bearing or the tyres a x]extra load spec as it’s a van....??
Do I search for Vw caddy wheels...... it’s been a long time since I bought a set or modified a car.... was revs and max power magazines when I modified my last......
