Hello, my 2011 1.6 TDi DSG has a problem starting, the battery is fine basically when I turn the key all I get/can hear is a clicking sound-very occasionally it will start first time but usually I have to take the key out and try again which can take a few attempts. Other thing that sometimes helps is moving through gears and then trying. Odd thing is it might start first attempt, then after a journey and sort sitting even for a short time say at fuel station may not start first time.
It has been checked and has no fault codes?
Sorry I’m not very technical but any advice would be great prior to taking to a garage - whom I have spoken to but they had no idea what it could be.
Thanks in advance.
Simon

Re: DSG starting issue
I had a problem of my caddy not starting first time when warm. Battery was ok (600 cranking amps) but not AGM. Changed to AGM 700 cranking amps and all now ok.

Re: DSG starting issue
Would that be a crank sensor then?
