Love the seats mate, did you ever get round to making the heated seats work?

As much as I admire so many people doing their own jobs on the carpeting, and making it look easy, it wasn't something I was going to attempt myself so booked it in with the guys at GoExplore Campers, S.Wales. Very friendly guys and reasonably priced compared to some quotes I had from around this area.

Do you mind roughly how much? I’m from s wales also and debating weather to give it a go myself or get someone to do a proper job

Bradb seats are still not heated. Not sure I ever will get around to getting that done to be honest.

WAmos96 well I had a few other little things done at the same time but it was the best part of a grand. All metal is covered including around the edges of the back doors so did a proper job. Was quoted £3k for the same job by another company around this area

Finally got an update for this thread!

After a long wait, I have recently got some bilstein coilovers and darkside flip kit fitted by a VW specialist in Bridgend. Put the 19s and side bars on at the same time so massive improvement on the looks!

I have to say, after a few hundred miles I have been so impressed with the coilovers and I am so glad I paid a bit extra for these over the BC ones. The handling has obviously improved, but the comfort is what I am most impressed with, even on 19s. Can feel the bumps mainly due to the lack of tyre but don’t have to worry about every tiny lump and bump rattling your teeth out!

Having said that, it is only lowered 50mm at the moment as I need to check the speed bump at work before I can go any lower, but so far, thumbs up for bilstein!

Looking good mate! I am actually considering replacing my Eibach 60mm springs with the Bilstein coilovers. 50mm seems quite conservative, do you know how much lower they go?

Cheers mate, slow progress, but progress!
If you aren’t looking to go really low then these are spot on. There is this much left of the thread so got a bit more to play with Image

Very happy with how the refurb went. Loving how the deception purple paint looks different colours at different angles. Need to save up now for the rest of the upgrade kit.

Thanks man, it’s getting there.

I spoke to the guys at www.stellarlighting.co.uk and they sent me a kit suitable for a small van with the right length fibre optics.

Give them a shout, they were very helpful.

Any chance you could post a couple of pictures of the carpeted rear doors so I can see how and where they finished the edges? As I need to do mine and it’s my first time carpeting and I know most don’t carpet the actual doors, just the panels, but I really like the way yours have been done.

Cheers
