Advice on side window deflectors?

Post by Halfling Inventor »

I might be overthinking things a little, I'm good at that, but it would seem there are three types (I know nothing about this though):

ones that go into the window slots and need clips:
https://travelinlite-transporters.co.uk ... erfect-fit

ones that go into the window slots and don't need clips:
https://www.vanstyle.co.uk/van/side-win ... -1105.html

ones that stick on:
https://www.van-tech.co.uk/product/vw-c ... eflectors/

the ones that go inside the window slots look nicer, but the manufacturers of the ones that stick on say that the ones that go inside the window slots interfere with the electric window motor, I have no idea if this is true because the manufacturer would say that the other sort causes a problem, and would using clips not damage the window seals?

any help/advice would be appreciated, thanks :D

I have Climair in channel deflectors, no clips, and they work great.
I like them because while they are tinted to look nice you can still see through them.

I had the same on a T4 with no problems.

I had Heko in channel with clips on a Skoda and they worked fine and look great too, I just prefer to be able to see through the deflectors.

Some of the glue on ones are much deeper and allow the window to be open more in the rain for example. Personally, I just don't like the look.

Just put hekos on mine after a lot of research. Don't clip them in and they will fly out at some point.
Heko are deemed to be the best.
