Took a while but just finished reading through this - well worth it though and very impressed, plenty to think about! Great build and an awesome hardtail too

Hi buddy, I appreciate you taking the time to have a read through and glad you enjoyed it!
And yeah, the hardtail is awesome! It pretty much my go to bike for the steep stuff! Weighs a ton though

Orange P7 and Cotic Bfe were on my list but ended up with another Ragley, I imagine you have some real steep stuff up that way aswel ? Bike park Wales is saved in my favourites amongst others.

We have the same colour van but mine is quite faded so dusted of the old rotary and ordered some new pads for it, planned to move it on and get a tdi but I’m in two minds - not exactly going to keep up with all the petrol power vans on here is it

Yeah, we have a few nice downhill trails , I’m getting a bit old for the really, really steep stuff as I don’t bounce as well as I used too

My daughter stays down near Cardiff so I’m hoping to get down to BPW this summer as it’s on my list!

What Ragley did you go for?

I got another Mmmbop frame not long finished building it - it’s posted in the off topic section if you fancy a look. I went a bit overkill. At least you were bouncing at some point I’m a bit like an ironing board on two wheels sometimes. Next frame is full sus or steel hardtail though.

Refurbished the Audi A3 wheels in gloss black, turned out quite nice!

Really need to do something about the arch gap!

Image

Went to polish out a couple of scratches and discovered that the “top quality” base and clear coat paint job wasn’t actually “base and clear” but a mix, not happy!

Finally got round round to removing the remaining TDI wiring and wrapping the loom.

How it was…

Image

What was removed…

Image

How it ended up…
Not happy with one of the looms, it’s a bit short, doesn’t sit in the cable tray and will need extending in the future!

Also the eagle eyed will spot the clutch pipework isn’t correct, still waiting on a replacement master cylinder before attempting to install the VR6 pipework.

Image

Also removed the last traces of old diesel soot from the tailpipes with some elbow grease and Autosol…

Image

And… if you know, you know!

cheers Joe!

Couldn’t get to Volksling this weekend so cheered myself up with a bit of taping and polishing!

Brake upgrade and perhaps a tidy up of the valve cover and air intake through the week.
