Does remapping a 1.6tdi increase the chances of an injector tossing itself?

I’ve also got a 2.0TDI 102hp/250nn, I got it tuned by REVO which brings it up to around 190hp/420nm. I’ve done some timing and it is literally more than twice as quick. I’ve also had the DSG flash with TVS Stage 2+ which raises the torque limit to 500nm.

120-160kph was 25 seconds factory
120-160kph tuned is 10 seconds, or 2.5x faster :)

I also have the 102bhp dsg 6speed. On the rolling road I had a cheeky 107bhp. I had a map of 180bhp and 417nm which is the number I requested. The mapper said he's had around 200bhp from tge 2.0 cr mk4 engines but I didn't want to string it out that far. Drives so much better now though although I'm not sold on the dsg box. Coming from a e90 330d with the zf auto box I fear nothing will compete!

I know there is a big difference when have 102bhp mapped to 180-ish, but what about 150bhp version with stage 1?

Is it worth it? is it noteable difference?

Thanks for the input,
Kristijan

Yeah for the money i would say its definitely worth it especially if you're struggling with the power you have. £300ish for that much power can't be knocked. With your 150bhp you'd still see a nice increase, especially with the extra torque

Hello, may I ask those of you who have the 5 speed manual and remapped the 102bhp about fuel economy after the remap? Is the mpg better or worse? DPF or AdBlue problems?
Mine is 2016 with 40k miles
Thank you!

I’m a bit right foot heavy so my MPG will always be a bit low. But I didn’t notice any difference really. I avg around 43mpg.
No issues with adblue or DPF

Same, 2016 with about 40k, remapped very soon into buying it as it was boardering on dangerous at 102 as overtaking suddenly ran out of juice at the side of the other vehicle with no guts.
Economy is maybe slightly better due to torque changes.
No issues with van at all afterwards.

Other than the money loss you can always go back to a standard map if you don't like it (but you will 8) )

Thank you for the response. You gave me quite a bit of confidence that I have to do it sooner or later.
The only problem is where to find a good mapping company in my country...
And yeah, the 102 is enough untill you get into a dangerous situation :( I have a XC90 with 163bhp and that one pulls much better even if it weights 2200 kgs unloaded...
