Love the van, looking to fit a MTB front wheel holder plate similar to yours. Was just wondering where you sourced yours from?

Thanks ! Fork mounts from Amazon think they were around £25/30 each

Liking the van a lot! The retro camper signs look really good and suit it well

Re: Caddy Maxi MTB Weekender
Done a few bits to the van making the most of a couple weeks off work. Not been able to drive it since last post due to an accident off the bike and DVLA revoked my license so thought I'd treat it. new speakers, tweeters & headunit, put some boards up around the bed, Fitted leisure battery , switch panel and LEDs in the back put a new flooring down but it didn't sit well so got some altro on the way will lay that this week and have a tidy and get some decent pics

Cheers - looking good
I’ve just picked up a 2016 maxi crew in Australia and looking at mtb camper too.
Newbie to all this
What is the head unit that you upgraded to? And how difficult was it?
Cheers

Cheers mate. it's pioneer sphda230, really simple just make sure to buy the canbus adapter for the radio and then you will just need a double din fascia and you're set to go
https://incartec.co.uk/product/VW-group ... s-ignition that's the adapter I got

There's the finished, manage to fit 2 bikes still with the border around the bed. Wish covid would (OOOh look at me, I can curse) off now so I can get about and use it!

Here's the van latest picture with LEDs in the back all ready for WES national champs the other weekend.
Currently having injector snags again and hating the van, in the process of replacing all 4 and hopefully enjoying it again.
Plans for the summer are to roller paint it a NATO green colour with some cool VW logos on the rear quarter
